PETA is on my shit list again. Why? Do I need an excuse? After all, they are the ones who finance and support domestic terrorists. That's right, they finance and support domestic terrorists. ELF, ALF - they're terrorists. Plain and simple. By any definition of the word, they are terrorists. And PETA supports them as "heroes".
But that is not why they are getting another rant from me. I was reading FOXNews again (it's a daily event), and I read about Karin Robertson. She's the head of PETA's Fish Empathy Project, which means that she turned down a chance to spend her days producing things, and instead spends it yelling at people who own fish tanks. Think about it. Of all of the evils in the world, this knucklehead thinks that fish tanks are worth her time.
First of all, I've never known someone that gave a rat turd what this dim bulb says. Also, I've never met anyone who actually gave up their fish tank because of something this twit said.
But the "best" part about what she said was the absurdity of it:
"Fish are far more intelligent than previously thought, and in some respects their cognitive abilities surpass those of dogs and some nonhuman primates."
Just think about that. She said that fish are more intelligent than primates. Fish.
Now, she didn't qualify it as vertibrate fishes, so technically, she's said that a gorilla is not as smart as a shark, in a manner of speaking.
Even if we interpret her words to mean that SOME fish are smarter than SOME primates, it's still ridiculous. It's just stupid.
I own a dog, and more than 1 fish tank. I have spent 5 years with them, and I can assure you that while both are very valuable to me, I still assure you that primates are smarter, and have more cognitive abilities. My dog is smarter than many PETA members, I believe. My dog understands simple concepts. My dog doesn't support terrorists. That's more than I can say for many PETA members.
So, I say to Karin (just 2 K's short of her mission) just one thing: fuck you, you fucking fuck.
