Joseph Lowery and Jimmy Carter should be ashamed.

I know it's "all the rage" in today's world to use funerals as political rallies (remember Paul Wellstone?). But those that do so should be ashamed.

Aside from the lack of respect for the dead person whom people are there to remember, taking cheap political shots (albeit falsehoods at that) at a funeral is just plain bad taste.

Now, I've never accused Lowery and Carter of good taste. But this is a low that no one should stoop to. Not anyone who wants to be a respected speaker.

That Bush sat there, knew it was coming, and took it like a man, that gave me more respect for him. It's hard to sit there and have people lie about you, and not defend yourself. Bush acted like a real man, while Lowery and Carter looked more like raving moonbats than a minister and a former president (the use of lower-case "p" in this case is intentional).

Lowery should be ashamed. To use the late Mrs. King's funeral for his attack is a dishonor to everything the Kings stood for.
